Note: Precancel line gaps exist at 1R, 2R, 3R and LG, 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L.
Varieties: Several consistent plate flaws exist on this issue, including a couple resulting from 'gripper cracks'. The most widely known are the 'Buggy Whip' and the 'Rain Crack'.
A damaged precancel mat caused additional breaks in the top four rows of the web, producing a tagging variety known as the 'Double Gap'.
