Official Announcement The Nondenominated Self-Adhesive Love (Cherub) booklet, Item 6699, goes on sale February 1 in Valentines, VA.   This stamp, featuring a contemplative cherub, is ideal for Valentine's Day Cards, wedding invitations, and similar personal mailings.  Each stamp is valued at 32 cents.  This stamp meets the new First-Class and third-class 1-ounce letter rate for domestic mail.

The Love Cherub stamp, designed by Terry McCaffrey of the U.S. Postal Service, features one of the two cherubs from Raphael’s Sistine Madonna painting.

Distribution Distribution — $6.40 Love Cherub Convertible Booklet (Item 6699)

All stamp distribution offices (SDOs) will receive half their standard automatic distribution for the self-adhesive booklets, rounded up to the nearest master carton size (4,500 booklets). SDOs will make subsequent distributions to post offices, using Form 3309, Advice of Shipment/Stamp Invoice. Stamp Requisition. SDOs must not distribute booklets to post offices before January 26, 1995.

Philatelic Requirement

Stamp distribution offices with authorized philatelic centers will receive their standard automatic distribution for subsequent distributions to each center.
