Official Announcement The Postal Service will issue a 32-cent The Postal Service will issue the 32-cent Fruits (Peaches & Pear) stamps in a $6.40 booklet of 20 (Item 6663), and a $6.40 convertible booklet of 20 self-adhesive stamps (Item 6671) on July 8 in Reno, NV. The stamp booklets go on sale nationwide on July 10. The stamps were designed by Ned Seidler of Hampton Bay, NY.
Varieties There are 4 collectable booklet varieties.
Position A: Plain tab on bottom pane.
Position M: LRM and CRL markings on both panes.
Position V: Four CC1 squares over left stamp.
Position W: "+" register marks and a CC1 square.

Distribution for 32-Cent Fruits (Peaches & Pear) Water Activated Folded Booklet

The 32-cent Fruits (Peaches & Pear) stamp booklet (water-activated adhesive), Item 6663, goes on sale July 8 in Reno, NV. These designs depict two types of fruits (peaches and a pear).

Distribution

Stamp distribution offices (SDOs) and stamp distribution networks (SDNs) with authorized philatelic centers will receive their standard automatic distribution to provide subsequent automatic distribution to each philatelic center within their ZIP Code service area.

All SDOs and SDNs will receive their standard automatic distribution, using the updated booklet automatic quantities for the Fruits booklets rounded to the nearest master carton size (4,500 booklets). SDOs will make subsequent automatic distribution to post offices within their ZIP Code service area, using Form 3309, Advice of Shipment/Stamp Invoice. SDOs must not distribute stamps to post offices before June 29.

The Fruits booklet will be shipped in criss-cross packaging for the vending program.

Accountable paper depositories (APDs) and SDNs will each receive 328,500 Fruits booklets for filling supplemental orders.

Additional Supply

SDOs requiring additional booklets must order them from their APD, using separate Form 17, Stamp Requisition. All other post offices requiring additional booklets should requisition them from their designated SDO on a separate Form 17, or designated SDN using a separate Form 17-S, Accountable Items Requisition Stamp Distribution Network.
