Official Announcement The Postal Service will issue a 32-cent Flag Over Porch stamp, in a convert-ible booklet of 10 self-adhesive stamps (Item 6609) on January 20, 1996, in New York, New York. The stamp booklet goes on sale nationwide January 22. No official dedication ceremony is planned.

The Flag Over Porch stamp, designed by Dave LaFleur of Derby, Kansas, features an American flag against a porch and has the same design as the stamp issued on April 18, 1995, but will be issued in a new format of a convertible booklet of 10 self-adhesive stamps.

Distribution — $3.20 Flag Over Porch Self-Adhesive Stamp Booklet of 10 Stamps (Item 6609)

All SDOs and SDNs will receive half their standard automatic distribution quantities, based on the new surveyed quantities for the first 1996 update for self-adhesive booklets, rounded to the master carton size (4,500 booklets).
SDOs and SDNs will make subsequent automatic distributions to post offices for half their standard automatic distribution for self-adhesive booklets, using Form 3309, Advice of Shipment/Stamp Invoice, and Form 17, Stamp Requisition. SDOs and SDNs must not distribute these booklets before January 11.

Philatelic Requirements

Each SDO and SDN with authorized philatelic centers will receive their standard automatic distribution for self-adhesive booklets to make subsequent automatic distributions to each philatelic center.

Additional Supply

Each APD and the SDN in Virginia will receive 1,197,000 booklets for filling supplemental orders. The SDN in Missouri will receive 1,885,500 booklets for filling supplemental orders. SDOs requiring additional booklets must order them from their appropriate APD, using separate Forms 17. All other post offices requiring additional booklets must requisition them from their designated SDO, using separate Forms 17, Stamp Requisition, or from their designated SDN, using separate Forms 17-S, Stamp Distribution Network Stamp Requisition.
