Official Announcement The Postal Service will issue four 33-cent Fruit Berries Definitive Stamp (Item Number 775700) in Ponchatoula, LA, on April 10, 1999. The Fruit Berries stamps were designed by Howard Paine of Delaplane, VA, and illustrated by Ned Seidler of Hampton Bay, NY, and go on sale nationwide April 11, 1999.

Distribution: Fruit Berries, Definitive Convertible Booklets, Item Number 662200

All SDOs and SDNs will receive approximately three-quarters of their standard quantities for convertible self-adhesive booklets, rounded to the nearest master carton size (4,500 booklets).

SDOs and SDNs will make subsequent one-half automatic distribution to post offices using PS Form 3309 and PS Form 17. SDOs and SDNs must not distribute stamps to post offices before April 1, 1999.

Additional Supply

Post offices requiring additional stamps must requisition them from their designated SDO or SDN, using a separate PS Form 17. SDOs requiring additional stamp booklets may not order them from their designated APD or SDN, using a separate PS Form 17. There will be no additional quantities available at APDs or SDNs.

Philatelic Requirement

SDOs and SDNs with authorized philatelic centers must provide subsequent distribution of these stamp booklets to each philatelic center from their automatic distribution.
