Official Announcement The Postal Service will issue a 33-cent City Flag Definitive Stamp (Item Number 100700) on February 25, 1999, in Orlando, FL. The stamps were illustrated and designed by Richard Sheaff of Scottsdale, AZ. The stamp goes on sale nationwide February 26, 1999.

Distribution: 33-Cent City Flag Definitive Stamp, PSA Convertible Booklet of 10, Item Number 661000

SDOs and SDNs will receive three waves of distribution for Item Number 661000. Each of the three waves will consist of approximately one-fourth the standard automatic distribution quantity for a PSA booklet. The first wave completed shipment January 12, 1999; the second wave will complete shipment by May 11, 1999; and the third wave will complete shipment by June 30, 1999. Distributions are rounded up to the nearest master carton size (4,500 booklets).

Initial Supply for Post Offices

After the first wave of distribution, SDOs and SDNs will make a subsequent automatic distribution to post offices for one-fourth their standard automatic distribution quantity using PS Form 3309 and PS Form 17. SDOs and SDNs must not distribute booklets to post offices before February 18, 1999.

Additional Supply

Post offices requiring additional quantities of Item Number 661000 must requisition them from their designated SDO or SDN using a PS Form 17 . There will be no back-up quantities of this item available at APDs. All available quantities will be distributed directly to SDOs and SDNs.

Philatelic Requirement

SDOs and SDNs with authorized philatelic centers must provide subsequent distribution of these booklets to each philatelic center from the first wave of automatic distribution.
