- A scan has been added to the 37¢ Gossaert
Madonna and Child Double Sided Convertible Booklet page that shows the original bar
code after the overprint has been erased.
Robert Rabinowitz reported the existance of plate S5555 on the 37c US Flag double sided convertible ooklets.

- Gil Mattox provided scans of a souvenir sheet provided by Avery Dennison at World Stamp
Expo 2000. It has been added to the Test and
Facsimiles pages.
Scott Publishing Company assigned catalog numbers 3634b, c and d to the Avery Dennison reprinted US Flag vending book. BK291A was assigned to the complete vending book. That number had been assigned to the Sennett Security version. Their booklet now gets BK291B.
Tom McFarland supplied a scan of an overprinting on plate P1111 of the 37c Gossaert - Madonna and Child convertible booklet stamp. The wrong Bar Code was printed on the booklet and then overprinted with the correct Bar Code. Examples exist of both the overprinting and the correct Bar Code on plate P1111. The overprint seems to be scarcer.

Donna also has the Avery Dennison reprinted US Flag vending book. According to Bob Droessler, the vending book went on sale in Kansas City on October 27 and the order number is 670741.

Scott Publishing Company has assigned numbers to the Antique Toys double sided convertible
booklet. 3745g goes to the block of 4 and 3745h is for the double sided pane
of 20. Scans of the stamps are now posted along with updated technical information.

In a surprise move, the USPS yesterday issued the double sided Antique Toys booklet originally scheduled
for an October release. Information in the Postal Bulletin states that these will
not be available at regular post offices. Time will tell. I have the technical
details posted.
Both Renate Fearonce in Tucson and Donna Rajotte in Providence indicated they have the new booklet available.

Today the US Postal Service issued a 'souvenir sheet' to commemorate the Wright Brothers
First Flight in 1903. The sheet has the same format and 'mini-roulettes' that
appeared on the Looney Tunes sheets that were given Booklet status by Scott. Mike
Perry announced that he will list it as a booklet in his USSS Research Paper #2.

According to an article by Charles Snee in the April 28, 2003 issue of Linn's Stamp News,
plate numbers on vending booklet stamps may be a thing of the past. The United
States Postal Service does not plan to print any more plate numbers on stamps in booklets.
Printers will continue to print plate numbers on the liner paper (the back) of
folded vending booklets, and on the peel-off strip of convertible booklets.

David Schwartz of DMS Stamps pointed out a Scott catalog change that I missed. I
have updated the data on the 20c Pheasant booklets and now have the correct number (3051A)
for the vending booklet with the sideways stamps. Dave found Scott # 3050a with
