DECEMBER 2003

12/23/03 - A scan has been added to the 37˘ Gossaert Madonna and Child Double Sided Convertible Booklet page that shows the original bar code after the overprint has been erased.

Robert Rabinowitz reported the existance of plate S5555 on the 37c US Flag double sided convertible ooklets.

12/15/03 - Gil Mattox provided scans of a souvenir sheet provided by Avery Dennison at World Stamp Expo 2000. It has been added to the Test and Facsimiles pages.

Scott Publishing Company assigned catalog numbers 3634b, c and d to the Avery Dennison reprinted US Flag vending book. BK291A was assigned to the complete vending book. That number had been assigned to the Sennett Security version. Their booklet now gets BK291B.

Tom McFarland supplied a scan of an overprinting on plate P1111 of the 37c Gossaert - Madonna and Child convertible booklet stamp. The wrong Bar Code was printed on the booklet and then overprinted with the correct Bar Code. Examples exist of both the overprinting and the correct Bar Code on plate P1111. The overprint seems to be scarcer.

12/10/03 - Renate Fearonce in Tucson wrote that she now has the Avery Dennison reprinted US Flag vending book. Renate also sent along her new inventory list.

NOVEMBER 2003

11/21/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence reports she has plate P4444 on the double sided CB20 Madonna.

Donna also has the Avery Dennison reprinted US Flag vending book. According to Bob Droessler, the vending book went on sale in Kansas City on October 27 and the order number is 670741.

Eugene O'Neal reports finding a new number, V1112, on the double sided CB20 Antique Toys.

11/13/03 - Bob Droessler reports finding a second variety on the double-sided 37˘ US Flag end card.

11/10/03 - Scott Publishing Company today assigned the following catalog numbers:

10/30/03 - A Data Page and scans have been posted for the 37˘ Music Makers vending booklet and the convertible booklet.

10/25/03 - Both Donna Rajotte in Providence and Renate Fearonce in Tucson have the new Holiday stamps.

10/17/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence has the new booklet stamps that go on sale October 25th.

SEPTEMBER 2003

9/25/03 - Kevin O'Connor found the wrong colors listed on the 1995 Blue Jay Vending Booklet data page. The correct colors are now posted.

9/23/03 - Scott Publishing Company has assigned numbers to the Antique Toys double sided convertible booklet. 3745g goes to the block of 4 and 3745h is for the double sided pane of 20. Scans of the stamps are now posted along with updated technical information.

9/4/03 - In a surprise move, the USPS yesterday issued the double sided Antique Toys booklet originally scheduled for an October release. Information in the Postal Bulletin states that these will not be available at regular post offices. Time will tell. I have the technical details posted.

Both Renate Fearonce in Tucson and Donna Rajotte in Providence indicated they have the new booklet available.

AUGUST 2003

8/19/03 - Scott Publishing Company has assigned numbers to the Mary Cassatt convertible booklet. 3807a goes to the block of 4 and 3807b is for the double sided pane of 20.

8/18/03 - Added scans of the 37c Mary Cassatt stamps and end card.

8/5/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has the 37c Mary Cassatt convertible booklet. I'll post details and scans when I get back from the APS show next week.

JULY 2003

7/13/03 - Added technical details (as much as I can find) and scans of the 2003-2004 $15.00 Snow Geese Pane (Booklet). Also added end cards for the 37c US Flag CB 10 and Double sided booklets.

7/9/03 - >Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has plate S4444 on the 37c US Flag double-sided booklet. The new number has been added to the data pages.

7/1/03 - A reliable source reports the existence of plate S4444 on the 37c US Flag double-sided booklet. Until I can confirm it, I'll hold off adding it to the date page.

Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has both Snow Geese Duck stamps and also the 37c Antique Toys PSA CB20 with plate V2222.

JUNE 2003

6/26/03 - Added a scan of a second end card on the First Flight Booklet.

6/17/03 - Scott Publishing Company has assigned numbers 3783a and b and BK295 to the First Flight stamps. According to Scott spokesman Martin J. Frankevicz, an article will appear in the August 2003 issue of Scott Stamp Monthly about how the listing of the First Flight of the Wright Brothers booklet is not like the Looney Tunes booklets.

6/01/03 - Chet Chapman found a second variety on the 37c Antique Toys End Card.

MAY 2003

5/23/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has the 37c US Flag double-sided booklet with plate S3333 and P4 on the 23c George Washington Vending Book. Please note that Donna has a new email address: rhode.p.istamps@usps.gov.

5/22/03 - Today the US Postal Service issued a 'souvenir sheet' to commemorate the Wright Brothers First Flight in 1903. The sheet has the same format and 'mini-roulettes' that appeared on the Looney Tunes sheets that were given Booklet status by Scott. Mike Perry announced that he will list it as a booklet in his USSS Research Paper #2.

5/5/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 32c Giotto Madonna and Child folded booklet.

5/4/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 32c Nondenominated Love Cherub convertible and folded booklets of 20 and the 32c Peaches and Pear folded booklet.

5/2/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 32c Pink Rose convertible booklet of 20, the 20c Blue Jay vending book and Unfolded Pane and the 32c Children and Santa folded booklet of 20.

APRIL 2003

4/30/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 32c Children and Santa convertible booklet of 20 and the 32c Flag over Field ATM.

4/24/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 32c Peaches and Pear and Midnight Angel convertible booklets of 20.

4/23/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1996 32c Flag Over Porch folded booklet of 20.

4/22/03 - According to an article by Charles Snee in the April 28, 2003 issue of Linn's Stamp News, plate numbers on vending booklet stamps may be a thing of the past. The United States Postal Service does not plan to print any more plate numbers on stamps in booklets. Printers will continue to print plate numbers on the liner paper (the back) of folded vending booklets, and on the peel-off strip of convertible booklets.

4/15/03 - Scott Publishing has assigned catalog number 3780a and BK294 to the $7.40 Old Glory booklet.

4/11/03 - Robert Rabinowitz reported plate P4 on the 23c George Washington Vending Book a few days ago and now Renate Fearonce in Tucson, AZ has them in stock. Bob reports the continuance of the dual die cut gauges, but Renate has not checked her stock yet.

4/5/03 - The $7.40 Old Glory booklet is in and scanned.

3/27/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1995 Flag over Porch convertible booklet of 20, and the 1996 32c Skaters ATM booklet and the 32c Family Scenes convertible booklet.

3/24/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1996 Flag over Porch and Blue Jay convertible booklets of 10.

3/23/03 - Data pages have been added for the 1996 Yellow Rose vending books of 15 and 30, and the convertible booklet of 20.

3/6/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has the 37c Love convertible booklet of 20 with plate B77777. Otis Coldren in Columbus, OH also has them.

3/4/03 - Harold Nogle reports finding plate # S2222 on the 37c U.S. Flag double sided convertible booklet of 20 in a grocery store.

FEBRUARY 2003

2/17/03 - Scott Publishing has assigned catalog number 3637a to the 37c U.S. Flag ATM pane of 18 stamps.

2/15/03 - Robert Rabinowitz has reported finding plate B77777 on the 37c Love convertible booklet of 20. The number has been added to the database.

Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has the 37c Snowmen convertible booklet of 20 with plate S1111.

2/9/03 - Robert Droessler sent in a scan of the 37c U.S. Flag ATM pane which has been posted on the data page.

2/4/03 - Today is the First Day of Issue for the 37c U.S. Flag ATM booklet. Donna Rajotte in Providence has them. Renate Fearonce in Tucson, AZ sent a copy of her latest inventory.

1/26/03 - Technical details on the upcoming 37c U.S. Flag ATM booklet have been posted.

1/18/03 - Added quite a few scans of 'End Cards' for issues in 1997 to 1999.

1/8/03 - The postal service today issued technical details on the upcoming self-adhesive 37c U.S. Flag ATM booklet. Click here to view the data.

1/5/03 - David Schwartz of DMS Stamps pointed out a Scott catalog change that I missed. I have updated the data on the 20c Pheasant booklets and now have the correct number (3051A) for the vending booklet with the sideways stamps. Dave found Scott # 3050a with 11.25 perfs on plate V2343 and that has been added.

1/1/03 - Donna Rajotte in Providence, RI reports that she has the 37c U. S. Flag convertible booklet of 20 with plate 6666.
